All Illinois Community College student-publications are eligible to join ICCJA. Your membership enables advisers and students to attend our two conferences, which take place at Eastern Illinois University in early October and at a state community college in early April. In 2022-23, the fall conference at EIU is set for Oct. 6-7, 2022, and the spring conference hosted by the College of DuPage will be March 30-31, 2023.
In addition, publication members can compete in the annual journalism awards contest that includes more than two dozen categories. Plus, advisers can chat with colleagues regularly through emails, phones and our private Facebook page. Advisers and staffs will also receive advice on editorial leadership, legal issues, advising, and other journalistic and education matters.
